i would rather have the sommelier’s knowledge but maybe i’m just spoiled having done a road trip around southern italy, where we ate the most delicious meals and stayed in charming places, last summer…

I’d rather have the sommelier’s knowledge as well. I could save up for a trip to Italy and do it in culinary style, but it’d take hours and hours over years for me to become a wine expert. I’m definitely weak in that area at this point. Now, if that one week culinary tour happened annually, that’d be another question…

With this quick of answers from everyone it means a BAD would you rather… I did have it as a culinary tour of Japan and changed it last minute. Don’t know if that would have changed answers. I have been wishing for more wine knowledge lately but I guess I too would take the culinary tour! Okay… now I am challenged to come up with a better Would you Rather next time that makes people think long and hard….

I’d definitely take the culinary tour of Italy. Although I love a nice bottle of wine, food and travel experiences rate more highly for me.

Although I should say that my uncle has a vineyard, my cousin is a sommelier/restaurant owner and my boyfriend’s sister works in the wine industry, so I have a few sources for wine advice …
