A bit of trivia...

This recipe (or version very close) actually inspired the flavor of Cap'n Crunch cereal; the woman who invented the flavor said it came from a recipe her grandmother always made with brown sugar and butter served over warm rice.

This is so weird! My boyfriend has always put brown sugar in his rice (although he omits everything else) which I thought was strange- I had never heard of this before. I'm not a huge fan of it but that's with Minute Rice (I'm not ashamed to admit it!) I think I'll give this a shot with different types of rice- maybe Jasmine? I don't think I've had it before but picked some up the other day. Either way, it's gonna rock his world... butter, milk, cinnamon... he has no idea what he's missing, lazy boy. Thanks for the idea!
