Though at first glance an odd combination, honey and black pepper is incredible. I discovered it after accidentally sprinkling my honey-spread toast with pepper for my eggs. It's like black pepper on strawberry salads. Add a little Manchego and it might be an accidental orgasm.

You know, I have never heard of Manchego cheese before! And I love cheese. I'm assuming it's mild, but you'll have to give me the lowdown. Until then, and since it pairs nicely with honey (yum) and bread (double yum,) I'll assume I should be expanding my cheese horizons.

Blue Ribbon Sushi in Brooklyn is one of my husband and mine's favorite places to go out. Blue Ribbon next door is good for cocktails (good gimlets!) and they have a great raw bar. I dont know if they have it year round, but sometimes we get their full New England style lobster dinner. Mmmm....

mmm anything with honey on it is delicious. Have you ever tried making a grilled cheese sandwich with brie and grape jelly? Oh man. You gotta try it. I had a grilled cheese party and I tested all these diff combinations. My fav was the brie and grape jelly, and I imagine raspberry preserves would work well too. Maybe even honey...
