[…] So I was planning the first post for this my new blog for today - the day after Valentines Day; to avoid the mushy, pink, red and sweet smelling stuff that was flying around. On an ordinary day I am a very big fan of holidays and celebrations, but Valentines Day I’ve never been into. It probably has stemmed for spending a majority of them single and even though I am now married I still don’t find the day particularly important. Everything becomes overpriced and alot of the time it is bought at the last minute. Where’s the romance in that? Last night Aaron and I went out for dinner - I guess you could say it was for Valentine’s Day, but really, any excuse will do to go out for Jamaican! On the way home we passed a 24 hr florist and the line of of men inside was ridiculous! So I woke up this morning with a terrible sore throat and runny nose. Cold symptoms 101. And to tell you the truth i don’t really get that upset by getting (a little bit) sick. I love, staying home from work. It has made me crave “sick” food though, and on my list right now is Whipped Blogs’s Black Bean and Chorizo Soup. Maybe I’ll put that on Aaron’s next dinner list. The trade of to staying home though unfortunately means cleaning the house. Which I’m about to start doing … any minute now. […]

I love black bean soup! Well, technically, I love black beans. Anything with them makes me happy. Add some chorizo and I’m all set.
