  • A big thank you to all teachers this week - one of the most important and yet underpaid careers there is.

Would you rather work as a server (not a cook) full-time for the next ten years in an elementary school cafeteria OR eat only food from the cafeteria (no other food allowed) for the next three years?

I would definitely rather serve the food! I actually have fond memories of working in the school cafeteria when I was a kid. We had rotating cafeteria duty back then (not sure if they still do this today). Serving was always the best job because there was always the chance you could get stuck washing trays! I liked putting the milk cartons on the trays :-)

I think I’d also rather serve the food. I remember my lunch ladies fondly. Um, but I also remember our cafeteria food fondly (that’s what growing up in Germany will do to you…), so maybe I could be convinced to go the other way? :)
