We were planning to wait to feed solid food to our little Small Fry until after we returned from our trip to Europe. It just seemed to be an extra hassle. But, we started to notice how much she loves sitting on our laps during meals and going to restaurants.
In the past week, her little eyes have followed our forks from the plate to our mouths, she stuck her chubby fingers in all our food and she sticks her tongue in and out while we chew. I could no longer deny her my greatest pleasure!
So, last night she enjoyed her first bites of rice cereal. She cringed slightly at first but within a minute, was opening her little baby bird mouth for more. Giggles, kicking legs, smacking lips, and singing ensued!

That first introduction to new foods is such a pleasure. I bet she slept well too with the rice cereal in her tummy :)

Wow, she’s a cutie! And was really showing all the signs of being ready to eat “real food” so I think you did the right thing in not making her wait.
