Happened upon the most interesting family who have been crafting things with canvas for 5 generations starting with covered wagons in the 1800s. They now make awnings. Their son has taken his work to a new, artistic level. See his work here.

I feel better reading this knowing I’m leaving for my own sunny vacation in less than three weeks.
