If you are looking for gift ideas, here are a few of my new discoveries.
1. Cook’s Illustrated Cookbook, $28.27
Of all the cookbooks I’ve added to my collection throughout the year, this is the one I have used the most. It is a tome of recipes and culinary expertise.
2. Black Walnut Trencher Board, $89
This sloped cutting board can collect juices while you carve meat. Or, flip it to use as a beautiful cheese board. Simple and elegant. I can’t imagine anyone who enjoys food being unhappy with this gift.
3.Old Salt Merchants Tea Trader Gift Set, $42
This new company sells salts, sugars and teas. Though the name implies salt is their speciality, I have fallen hard for their custom teas.
4. Molecular Gastronomy Kit, $60
When I was a kid, I always loved that gift that you could play with Christmas Day. I’d be experimenting pronto!
5. Henri’s Reserve Champagne Tasting Sampler, $160
A good friend sent me this gift last year and it was one of my favorites. This year, I am passing along the bubbly love to a few of my recipients.
**15% off for Whipped readers with code HENRI15 at checkout**
6. Naval Oranges and Ruby Red Grapefruit, $24.99-$54.99
I’m a sucker for some fresh, Florida citrus. This selection from Gregory Groves combines two of my favorites. Especially refreshing after all the holiday overeating.
7. Normann Copenhagen Beater Whisk, $18
This cool looking contraption has been on my eye since a friend pinned it. The slick whisk is available in a variety of colors.

Dad is a foodie who also loves to cook. I already game him a CI cookbook, so next month on Father’s Day, I will give him a huge gift basket of his favorite stuff – coffee!
