I have been impressed with Martha Stewart’s ability to transform living spaces, create delicious meals, and even craft useful items out of everyday things lying around, like a female MacGyver with a perfect bouffant. But I am most impressed and in awe of Martha Stewart’s business savvy. There are a lot of talented women who can garden, craft and cook but there are very few who can build and oversee an empire for decades.

When I was recently offered a chance to meet Martha and review her new book, One Pot, I quickly decided to shift around my Tuesday schedule and make it happen. Martha Stewart’s new cookbook, One Pot, offers over 120 recipes that involve cooking in only – you guessed it – one pot. With winter just a short autumn away, school already started for the kids, and work in full-throttle, this cookbook may be just what my busy family needs.

If you hope to get your hands on this book, join me at Macy’s on State Street, downtown Chicago, on September 16th to watch Martha give a cooking demonstration from her new collection of recipes. If you purchase at least $75 in the Home department while attending the event, you’ll score yourself a $10 Macy’s gift card as well as an advance copy of One Pot with the chance to meet and get a signature from Martha herself.

The event is free, but an RSVP is required to attend and space is limited. If you’d like to join me at the event, go to this website and sign up HERE.

    Hello!

Let me first say that I am a big fan of Martha. I saw that she’s coming to Chicago and would love to meet her and have her sign my One Pot book, but tickets are sold out. I will purchase those free tickets if there’s a way! I’ve looked on Craigslist, but it says no one is selling tickets.

I will die happy for a chance to meet her at this event, and I’m asking if you by chance have an extra ticket to spare?

    Best,
    Larayne Dumlao
