Kir Royale – The Easiest Christmas Cocktail
We’re out of time. It’s two days until Christmas and no matter how much pre-planning happens, there is an inevitable last minute race. Why is it always like this? While I did get ahead of my holiday appetizer ideas this year, I fell VERY short on my Christmas cocktail game. I had so many ideas… Yuletide Mules, Spiced Old Fashioned, Homemade Eggnog. Alas, the holiday cocktail concoctions will have to wait until next year.
Facebook did me a favor and reminded me that in 2019, I visited Fox News to share three easy holiday cocktail recipes.

The first cocktail that I shared was a Kir Royale – EASY, fast, and truly anyone can do it. Just about a tablespoon of Creme de Cassis, a black current flavored liqueur, with chilled Champagne or sparkling wine. (I use Mathilde) Finish off the cocktail with some fresh raspberries for an extra spot of holiday color. Voila! That’s all it takes to look and taste fancy with very little effort.
Using festive glasses is half the fun. While I love a champagne flute for a Kir Royale, you can use a wine glass or a coupe glass. You can also garnish with a lemon twist or some fresh cranberries.
So, get your hands on some Creme de Cassis and Champagne, and you can cross “Christmas cocktail” off your list. I just did.
