If you have been visiting Whipped regularly, you know that I am a major fan of dairy products. I would have to choose cheese over chocolate, I have a major love of buttermilk and I generally feel that the more sour cream, or cream cheese a recipe has, the better it is likely to be. So, you can imagine my excitement when I was contacted by the kind ladies who run the website, 3aday.org, which is managed by the National Dairy Association to promote the healthy addition of dairy to your diet. They wondered if might be willing to write for their weekly newsletter.
Although I ended up writing about the health benefits of yoga, I fully support heavy consumption of dairy. I thank my lucky stars that I am not lactose intolerant because a life without cheese, sour cream, milk and buttermilk is one I am not prepared to face!
You can read my yoga article here.
And in honor of my dairy love, here are a few of my favorite recipes from the archives:
~Red Cabbage Slaw with Buttermilk Dressing
~Buttermilk Cupcakes with Lemon Frosting
~Overnight Oatmeal Muffins
~Fish Tacos with Avocado Cream
~Light Potato Salad with Sour Cream and Capers
~Asparagus Soup with Basil Cream

Way to go!! We are huge milk drinkers in our family – a gallon a day. May buy our own cow soon.
