Description

This cocktail is perfect for parties because it batches so easily! All four ingredients are equal proportions and it can be made ahead. Make it super fun with paper airplane garnishes that hide secret fortunes inside. A cocktail and entertainment, all in one!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 oz Bourbon (suggested: Maker's Mark or Bulleit)
  • 3/4 oz Aperol
  • 3/4 oz Amaro Nonino Quintessentia
  • 3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed, not bottled)

Instructions

  1. Add the bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and fresh lemon juice into a cocktail shaker.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe or other glass of your choice.
  4. Garnish with an actual paper plane that has a secret fortune inside.
  • Garnish: Garnish with a lemon or orange twist, or for a thematic touch, a small folded paper plane on a skewer.

Notes

Make large batches up to 3 days ahead of your party and keep chilled until ready to serve.

For 10 people, use 1 cup of each ingredient. For 20 people, use 2 cups of each ingredient. For 30 people, use 3 cups of each ingredient. This allows for a second drink for some of the guests. When ready to serve, just measure about 3 ounces per person into each glass.
